Vine of Hope Africa

Peace Building

The Vine of Hope Africa (VoHA) organization carries out peacebuilding programs in South Sudan that aim to restore trust, heal divisions, and strengthen community resilience after years of conflict. It brings together local leaders, youth, and women in dialogue sessions where they discuss reconciliation, forgiveness, and the importance of unity. These gatherings create safe spaces for communities to confront past grievances and build pathways toward peaceful coexistence.

VoHA integrates peacebuilding with practical initiatives such as livelihoods support, recognizing that economic stability reduces the risk of renewed conflict. Women and youth receive training in vocational skills, small business development, and cooperative farming, which not only improve household incomes but also foster collaboration across ethnic and social lines. By linking peacebuilding with livelihoods, VoHA ensures that reconciliation is grounded in tangible improvements to daily life.

The organization also emphasizes the protection of women and girls, advocating for their rights and access to justice. It works with local justice systems and community networks to challenge harmful practices and promote accountability, ensuring that peace is inclusive and sustainable. Through awareness campaigns, VoHA teaches communities that peace is not only the absence of violence but also the presence of fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all.

In combining dialogue, livelihood support, and rights advocacy, Vine of Hope Africa builds bridges across divided communities. Its peacebuilding programs nurture trust, empower marginalized groups, and lay the foundation for a more stable and harmonious South Sudan.
